Rural Day BBQ

Okay, blog let's get caught up! Our friend, Scott, is and has been for a long time one of my most favorite people. There is something very captivating about him and he is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. Bill and Scott have been best friends since middle school and even though Scott lives far away these guys pick up where they left off like no time has passed! Scott spent the Winter in Iowa (a first since I've been around) so we really relished the fun times with him. In the beginning of March, Scott organized what he called the 'Rural Day BBQ.' A day of relaxation of fun at his parents homestead in Homestead, Iowa. We rode the 4-wheelers, target shot with a Red Ryder, launched clementine oranges into the lake, BBQ'ed, and let the boys finish the day with a POLAR PLUNGE. Here are some of the pictures...

A good friend is a connection to life - a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane world. ~Lois Wyse
